So today had my heart set on going to the beach all day long. My plan was to take my White to the cleaners, drop em off, then head for the beach and be there by 1700. Silly me...
My ride showed me where the cleaners were, and not only did I find out they don't have Navy patches, and the nearest store that does is the Big NEX all the way on pearl, but that a dry clean job IF TURNED IN TODAY wouldn't be done by Friday Afternoon. And a patch job wouldn't be done for a week. So FML on that...
Well I get back to my room and its nearing five and I call a shipmate who lives in Pearl. He'll not only get me some, but he'll take my Jumper to Pearl to get it sewed up overnight. Whoo, but I still wont get it till Thursday, which means I'll have to wash it myself, but thats not so much of a biggie.
So now its 1700 and got about an hour of good daylight left, then I realized I had left my backpack at work. FML AGAIN. I got back about ten minutes ago and the Sun Down song just sounded outside... Damnit...
But on a plus note I passed my weigh in.
ReplyDeleteThey took my height, then took my weight (206) then were like "Please remove your blouse" and so I started to unbutton it, then she said "No, wait, you're in weight."
My response was literally a shocked "WHAT?!?!" cus I knew way ahead of time that I would not make my weight. In Basic training I measure 72 inches and made weight by a pound, but that was at 199 (After 8 weeks of IT and slim eating)
But hey, apparently I've grown 3/4 of an inch to 73 in tall, which raised my max from 201 to 206.
Hey- thats no fair! Why didn't I ever think about growing to make weight??
ReplyDeleteI'm the next gen, of course.
ReplyDeleteI have the ability to (and have in the past) grow an inch to make weight, and aged to the next category of pushup/situp/runtime requirements to pass the PRT.
