Okay prepare for a large photo dump.... I'll comment on them all in chronological order.
This was my first trip to the beach the day I got here. I do believe I sent you all this photo by text. Anyways its on the beach looking west. I imagine off about 40 miles away is the next island.
This is Waikiki on my first day here in Oahu, I took a picture cus I thought it looked nice. I don't think I'd seen so many tourist looking people since I was last in any of the Disney theme parks, maybe one day I'll see them yet not feel like one of them.
A few weeks later I took dads advice and grabbed a six pack of orange cream soda, some sushi rolls and headed for the beach, but the damn sharks bit my leg off... :(
Just kidding. I decided to bury my leg. That hole actually went about two and a half feet down, YET I COULD ONLY FIT ONE FOOT IN IT! HAAAHAAA! GET IT?! I'm funny! :D
Military day at the Airshow (friday) And what did they have there? FREAKIN F-22 RAPTORS! Those things were LOUD!
Coast guard, neaa... moving on....
MArines, psh, who cares? Moving on...
THE MOST POPULAR (as you can see by the crowds around the bird) AIRCRAFT AT THE AIRSHOW! Who cares about F-22's and Blue Angels when you get to see the Showbird of THE FINEST Naval H-60 squadron in the pacific! Ain't she purdy? To bad she's going way of the museum soon. (Yea, our two painted birds are both leaving us soon. Our showbird is going into a museum and another one got done up for static display)
This was that theator I mentioned on facebook. LOTS OF SEATS, tiny screen...
OKAY! Now onto the bikes I was looking at today: First one is...
The Diamondback. As you can see its a street bike with two gear adjusters on them (Clicky-clicky ones, too, not the twistie-twistie kind) One of the biggest drawbacks is the lack of kickstand. Like seriously, wtf?
Second is the SWINN! It has a single twistie gear adjuster and nice retro curves. It also boast a kickstand and my favorite part is the luggage rack on the back (Plus its way cheaper)
So question is now: Do I pick one of these two, or keep looking? (Which is really hard for me to do)

ReplyDeleteI like the second bike as a beach / roust about rig. Good cargo and it doesn't scream "steal me"!! as much. It would be cool to personalize too.
Also, trying to get a real macho cool bike so that you don't look like a dork on a bike really doesn't work. Not that you'd be trying for that anyway "Captain POG!!" On the islands, the second bike is cool! Love you
Just took a closer look at the first bike. Those are road tires. I would go fat tires no mater what you got.

ReplyDeleteYou get Fort Knox, Fort Rucker, Fort Dicks, Fort Hood, Fort Jackson ect. ect. ect. What do we get in way of major bases? Norfolk, San Diego (Which is past its prime) and Hawaii. We ain't got many major home ports anymore...
